Meet the Animals... At Hardy's Animal Farm we have a large variety of farm animals and rare breeds for you to see, feed and play with. Just a few of the most popular animals which can be found on the farm are shown below...

|
Cattle Many breeds of cattle are seen on the farm including Belted Galloway, Jersey and the popular Highland breeds. The Highlands are native of the Highlands of Scotland, these gentle beasts have long shaggy coats to keep the harsh weather at bay. They also have huge sets of horns which can grow to in excess of 5 feet across. |

Goats There are several breeds of goat found on the farm including Pygmy Goats and Angora Goats many of whom are out and about to feed, stroke and play with. The rest of us will be eagerly awaiting your animal food!!! |

Pigs Some of the Pigs found on the farm are rare breeds, such as pot bellies and kune-kune pigs, but most of us are Large White / Landrace Cross. You can view these in our working breeding unit through the specially glazed windows, following how we are bred, born and grown from start to finish. If you're lucky you may even see some of us being born. |

Sheep Here on the Farm the are various types of rare breed and commercial sheep, In the spring time many of the new-born lambs can be bottle fed. |

|
Horses and Ponies There are also several types of Horses and Ponies on the farm, ranging from tiny Shetland and Fallabella Ponies to giant Shire Horses. Regularly foals are born on the farm and these can be seen grazing in the fields or sheltering in the stables. |

Chickens and Fowl Various breeds of Chickens, Ducks and Geese are found roaming the farm for you to make friends with. Many of the Chickens found roaming the farm are Banty Chickens, but we also have some free-range laying hens, whose eggs can be bought daily from our shop. |

|
Llamas These rare animals are natives of South America and are bred predominantly as pack animals or for the value of their coats which, when clipped are used in the fashion industry. We are curious and friendly animals, but we can sometimes spit!!! |

The Shire horses found on the farm are used for horse and cart rides around the pastures of the farm, so if you like to move at a more leisurely pace you can take a ride back in time and see how people used to get around |
